An item reported that at the Marti Shipyard, Nikolayev, Ukraine mid-March 1951 around 24.000 labourers were at work. The yard possessed 2 large slipways around 400 metres. Facilitated with were 8-3ton fixed cranes fitted out with horizontal arms on steel table bases, 1-30 ton crane movable while mounted on girder tracks and 1-27.000 kW electric power central fitted out with 3 turbo generators.
