Russia believed to be able to clear congested harbour of Murmansk on time according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 28 March 1942

An item reported that the Russia believed to clear the congested harbour of Murmansk before new shipments arrived. The J.I.C. commented that German aircraft attacked the harbour. They referred to a broadcast of Moscow reporting that Russians supported by aircraft and the navy attacked the German forces from behind.
