Turkish government allowed limited Turkish merchant shipping on the Black Sea according to the Dutch newspaper Haarlemsche courant dated 2 November 1942

An item reported that the Turkish shipping authorities allowed shipping on the Black Sea for Turkish merchant ships between 400-2.050 tons destined for foreign harbours.
