An item reported that the British cruisers HMS Delhi (1, S.N.O.) and Dauntless (2) on 11 September were lying at Helsingfors [Helsinki], Finland.

1. Of the Danae-class light cruisers, preceded by C-class, succeeded by Emerald-class, original 6x1-15.2cm/6”guns, since 1941 5x1-12.7cm/5” guns. Building ordered in July 1917, laid down by Sir W.G. Armstrong Whitworth and Company, High Walker on 29 October 1917, launched on 23 August 1918, commissioned in June 1919, rebuilt as anti aircraft cruiser 1941-1942 and sold to be broken up on 22 January 1948.
2. Of the Danae-class light cruisers, preceded by C-class, succeeded by Emerald-class, 6x1-15.2cm/6”guns. Building ordered in September 1916, laid down by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow on 3 January 1917, launched on 10 April 1918, completed on 16 August 1918 and sold to be broken up on 13 February 1946 which was done in April 1946.
