Obsolete French warships Tonnerre and Scorpion used as targets according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1914-1915 no. 3

An item referred to the le Yacht dated 18 April reporting that using concrete the leak of the Tonnerre was closed and that she was salvaged to be used as target again.(1) The aged gunboat Scorpion was also converted into a target ship.(2)

2. Of the Comète-class composite gunboats, launched by F.C. de la Méditerranée, La Seyne, France in 1884, completed in 1884 and stricken in 1904.
