An item reported that the Italian navy was fitting out her cruiser Libia for a voyage around the world starting on 1 December when leaving Spezia. Commanding officer was captain Burzagli earlier SNO at Valona. Via the African West coast , South American North coast and the West Indies would she pass the Panama Canal and to return via the Suez Canal. During her voyage she was to visit Italian consulates and diplomatic representatives.

1. Ordered by the Ottoman Empire as the Drama in 1907, laid down by Gio. Ansaldo&C., Genoa, Italy in 1907, seized by the Italian government in September 1911, launched on 11 November 1912, commissioned on 25 March 1913, stricken on 11 March 1937 and sold to be broken up.
