Steel built with a raked ster mand cruiser stern. The passenger accommodation consisted of 4 x2 state rooms. At the forward end of hold no. 1 were deep tanks located. Shelter deck. In fact there were two standard designs namely C1A and C1B. Dimensions 412.3 (over all) x 60.0 (molded) x 37.6 (molded depth) x 23.6 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 7,400 tons, gross tonnage 5,100 tons, net tonnage 2,900 tons and bale cubic capacity 447,000 cubic feet. Fitted out with diesels or turbines. With normal shippower of 4,000 shp a speed of 14 knots. Prewar domestic cost 1,940,000 US dollars , domestic war cost 2,608,168 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 970,000 US dollars and floor price 912,859 US dollars
