There were two basis C2 designs namely the C2-S-B1 and the C2-S-AJ1. Modified full scantling. Dimensions 459.1 (over all) x 63.0 (molded) x 40.0 (molded depth) x 27.0 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 10,800 tons, gross tonnage 8,300 tons, net tonnage 4,8500 tons and bale cubic capacity 542,800 cubic feet. The amidships located turbines propulsion allowed with normal horsepower of 6,000 shp a speed of 15.5 knots. Prewar domestic cost 2,100,000 US dollars, domestic war cost 2,736,624 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 1,050.000 US dollars and floor price 957,818 US dollars
