An item reported that the British commander E.L. Wharton was accredited as a naval attaché at The Hague, Netherlands and Warsaw, Poland taking up his duties on 15 March conform the expectations.(1)

1. Eric Lloyd Wharton (29 October 1882 Dorking-15 July 1951 Hildenborough), son of rear-admiral W.J.L. Wharton, on the retired list since 1 January 1924, promoted to the rank of captain on 29 October 1927. Before he lead the British naval mission working with the Polish navy and merchant marine. The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 1 February 1922 reported that he was to leave his post at The Hague and to be replaced by captain G.A. Wells.
