The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1910-1911 reported that the German cruiser 2nd class SMS Leipzig (1) visited Sabang (2), Dutch East Indies between 23-26 January 1911.
Notes
1. Part of Bremen-class light cruisers, preceded by Gazelle-class, succeeded by Königsberg-class, laid down by AG Weser, Bremen, Germany in 1904, launched on 21 March 1905, commissioned on 20 April 1906 and sunk at the Battle of the Falkland Islands on 8 December 1914 against the British Royal Navy.
2. Sabang, Dutch East Indies was important coal station for Dutch and foreign warships and merchant ships.
