American merchant cargo ship design R1-M-AV3 in 1946

Steel built, full scantling refrigerated cargo ship with a raked stem and cruiser stern. Of the subtype which were full refrigerated were also ships available for disposal. Dimensions 338.8½  (over all) x 50.0 (molded) x 29.0 (molded depth) x 21.0 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 4,370 tons, gross tonnage 3,770 tons, net tonnage 2,100 tons. The diesel propulsion supplied  1,700 shp normal horsepower allowing a speed of 10.5 knots. Prewar domestic cost 1,750,000 US dollars, domestic war cost 2,449.385 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 875,000 US dollars and floor price 857,285 US dollars
