An item reported that a US Naval aircraft destroyed an enemy submarine in the Iceland area. In the current month were at least with certainty 7 enemy submarines destroyed. The submarine attacked by a aircraft off the Brazilian coast off Bahia on 18 August as reported in Summary No. 252 was believed to have survived the attack. The results of other attacks on submarines could not be confirmed.
