An item reported that enemy submarines attacked in the night of 12-13 August a convoy in the Windward Passage (see also summary No. 247) and attacked it again after daylight on 14 August of the north east Cuban coast. Three cargo ships were torpedoed of which 2 sunk. Of this convoy were 5 cargo ships torpedoed.
