Troop transport which would after the reconversion into a cargo vessel had smilar characteristics to the standard C4-S-B5 design. Steel built. Full scantling with raked stem and cruiser stern. Accomodation consisted of 4x3 state rooms. Dimensions 520.0 (over all) x 51.6 (molded) x 43.6 (molded depth) x 32.9 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 15,570 tons, gross tonnage 10,780 tons, net tonnage 7,530 tons and bale cubic capacity 711,580 cubic feet. The turbine propulsion located aft allowed with normal horsepower of 9,000 ship a speed of 16.5 knots.
