France intended to built nuclear propelled tanker according to the Dutch newspaper Het Rotterdams Parool dated 10 January 1957

An item reported that the French shipping company Shell Francaise agreed to finance the building of a nuclear tanker. However the French High Commissary for nuclear energy was needed for the fuel and to support the project in all means.
