Part of Courbet-class battleships, preceded by Danton-class, succeeded by Bretagne-class, building ordered on 11 August 1910, laid down by Arsenal de Brest, France on 15 November 1910, launched on 22 September 1911, completed on 2 September 1913, commissioned on 19 November 1913, training ship since 1934, decommissioned on 15 August 1935, disarmed and hulked and became an accommodation ship at Toulon, renamed Océan on 1 January 1937, captured by Germany on 27 November 1942, used for experiments with large shaped charge warheads, sunk in an Allied air attack in 1944 and salvaged and breaken up started on 14 December 1945.
