Part of Oriani-class destroyers preceded Maestrale class succeeded Soldati-class. Laid down by Cantiere navale fratelli Orlando, (O.T.O.), Livorno, Italy on 2 January 1936, launched on 19 September 1936, completed on 27 October 1937 and torpedoed and sunk by British submarine HMS Simoom (P225) on 9 August 1943.
