Pink shrimp fishery in the Puget Sound according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated January 1960 no. 1

An item reported that the pink shrimp fishery with beach seines in the Puget Sound, Pacific Ocean, USA started around 1888. There were two species (Pandalus jordani and borealis] caught. Within short time steam tugs pulling beam trawls replaced the beach seines and begin 20th Century this fishery increased fast. Between 1903-1915 the catch results with as example more as 429,000 pounds landed in 1903. Between 1915-1922 the results fell down and remained until offshore shrimp fishery in 1956 was developed.
