Taiwanese fleet tug (ex-ATR 26 1944-1947) Pu To (341) 1947-1962 still mentioned

Part of ATR-1 class rescue tugs. Building ordered on 22 July 1942, laid down by Fulton Shipyard, Antioch, USA on 16 August 1943, launched on 23 April 1944, commissioned on 9 June 1944 in the US Navy. Built of wood.

Displacement 852 (light)-1,312 tons (maximum) and as dimensions 155.0 (waterline)-165.4 (over all) x 33.3 x 15.5-15.8 (maximum) feet. Armament: in 1956 1-25mm gun and 4 machineguns, original 2x1-2xm anti aircraft mounts and 1x7.62cm/3 cal 50 dual purpose gun. Triple expansion steam engine with 2 Babcock&Wilcox boilers with one screw and 1,600 ihp horsepower allowing a speed of 12-12.2 knots. Crew numbered in US Navy service 52 men.
