Japanese Nort Pacific salmon fishing season started according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated July 1967 No. 2

An item reported that 11 Japanese salmon motherships accompanied by 369 catcher vesssels left on May Hakodate bound for the North Pacific to arrive on the fishing grounds around 20 May. The quotas for 1967 for mothership and land-based were totally 108,000 metric tons.
