Steel made fishing vessel Cocal built in Cuba according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated August-September 1967 No. 8-9

An item reported that the Cuban Cardenas Shipyard launched in June1967 the first steel-hull made fishing vessel for the state-owned fishing fleet. The Cocal had a displacement of 112 tons, a crew numbering 16 men, a range of around 13,000 miles and was probably the protype of a new series of vessels. Until then the yard built only vessels of wood.
