Taiwan transhipping tuna in the Walvis Bay, South Africa according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated July 1967 No. 2

An item referred to the Namib Times dated 21 April reporting that Taiwan wanted to tranship her caught tuna in the Walvis Bay harbour, South Africa. Taiwan possessed had 6 tuna fishing vessels (5-300 and 1-1,000 tons gross tonnage) registered in Taipei mainly in the tuna long-line beyond the Continental Shelff off Southwest Africa.
