An item dated Danzig, Poland 23 August reported the intended visit of the German cruiser Königsberg (1) to arrive at 25 August and to stay until 28 August. The visit was an annual habit and the Polish authorities were informed.

Part of Königsberg-class light cruisers preceded by Emden succeeded by Leipzig-class, laid down by Reichsmarinewerft, Wilhelmshaven, Germany on 12 April 1926, launched on 26 March 1927, commissioned on 17 April 1929, heavily damaged by Norwegian coastal artillery on 9 April 1940 and sunk by by British aircraft the next day off Bergen, Norway, finally broken up in 1947.
