Japanese cargo ship (ex-Kazan Mara 1918-1031) Unkai Maru No. 3 1931-1942

Call sign JJPC. Laid down by Yokohama Dock Co. Ltd., Yokohama, Japan on 9 August 1918, launched on 25 December 1918. completed on 31 January 1919, renamed on 11 February 1931, registered as an auxiliary store ship on 15 April 1942 and lost in an explosion at the Yokohama quay No. 7 on 30 November 1942 and stricken on 1 July 1943. Deadweight 4,675 tons, gross tonnage 3,015 tons, 1,978 tons net tonnage and as dimensions 310.0 x 43.0 x 26.0 x 8 (light)-22 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, 241 nhp, coal bunker capacity 843 ton, range 11,700 nautical miles/9.5 knots and speed 9.5 (normal cruising)-10.5 (maximum) knots.
