Japanese cargo ship (ex-Portland 1903-1913, Ida Zelck 1913-1914, Vedi 1914-1918, Ida Zelck 1918-1921, Ingeborg Larssen 1921-1924) Sapporo Maru No.12 1924-1943

Built by J. Blumer&Co., Sunderland, United Kingdom in July 1908, seized by Russia at Petrograd in August 1914,as the transport Vedi added to the Russian navy in 1914, returned to owners in 1918 and sunk by the American submarine USS Flying Fish on 12 April 1943. Call sign JADA. Gross tonnage 2,865 ton, under deck 2,610 tons, net tonnage 1,747 tons, deadweight 4,710 tons and as dimensions 320.0 x 46.0 x 21.2 x 7.7 (light)-20.1 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, one screw, 258 nhp, coal bunker capacity 947 tonns, range 10,300 nautical miles/10 knots and and speed 10 (normal cruising)-11.5 (maximum) knots.
