Launched by Clyde Shipbuilding&Engineering Co. Ltd., Castle Works, Port Glasgow, Scotland with yard number 277 on 23 November 1907 and torpedoed by the American submarine USS Snook in the Yellow Sea on 5 May 1943. As Luna Italy-flaggd, homeport Trieste. Call sign JIJB. Gross tonnage 3,184 tons, under deck 2,570 tons, net tonnage 2,257 tons, deadweight 4,809 tons and as dimensions 315.1 x 46.5 x 21.0 z 8 (light)-20 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulson, one screw, 269 nhp, coal bunker capacity 755 tons, range 2,800 nautical miles/9 knots and speed 9 (normal cruising)-10 (maximum) knots.
