French destroyers Rapière, Javeline, Francisque and Sabre visited the Dutch East Indies in 1907

The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1906-1907 reported that the French destroyers Rapière (1), Javeline (2), Francisque (3)and Sabre (4) visited Sabang, Dutch East Indies on 14 February 1907. The Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 4 March reported that the torpedoboats came from Saigon, French Indochina [Vietnam], stayed at Sabangbetween 14-17 February and were bound for Colombo, Ceylon. According to the Deli courant dated 2 April was their destination Brest, France. Sabang had an important coal bunkering station visited by Dutch and foreign merchant and warships.

1. M10. Pertuisane-class. Laid down at Rochefort, France on 2-1-1901, launched on 16-7-1901 and sold to be broken up on 25-3-1923.

2. M17. Arquebuse-class. Laid down at Rochefort, France in November 1900, luanched on 15-10-1902 and sold to be broken up in August 1920.

3. M22. Arquebuse-class. Laid down at Rochefort, France on 5-2-1903, launched on 2-3-1904 and sold to be broken up on 10-7-1922.

4. M23. Arquebuse-class. Laid down at Rochefort, France in 1903, launched on 15-4-1904 amd sold to be broken up on 1-6-1921.
