German submarine supply vessels operated out of Nantes, France in 1942

American naval attaché at Paris, France reported in August 1942 referring to an excellent source that four German submarine supply vessels operated out of Nantes, France. On board were reserve submariners as a replacement if needed. The vessels were average 80 days at sea, generally three at sea and one at sea.
