Italian steamship Himalaya transported rubber from French Indochina to France in 1942

American naval attaché at Paris, France reported in July 1942 referring to a reliable mercantile source that the Italian steamship Himalaya arrived on 6 June at Bordeuax, France loaded with 7,500 tons rubber coming in 60 days voyage from Saigon, French Indochina via the Straits of Magellan.
