Japanese cargo ship (ex-Pierre L.D. 1936-1941, Persee 1941-1942) Teihoku Maru 1942-1945

Built by France Shipyard, Dunkurk, France in 1935, launched as Pierre L.D. on 25 January 1936, completed in 1936, requisitioned by the Japanese government, armed cargo ship Teihoku Maru and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Jallao (SS-368) between Korea and Japan on 11 August 1945. Gros tonnage 5,795 ton, under deck 4,948 tons, net tonnage 3,333 tons, deadweight 9,100 tons and as dimensions 406.9 x 57.1 x 25.7 x 25 (loaded) feet . Diesel propulsion, single screw, 793 nhp/5,300 bhp, oil bunker capacity 850 tons/ Speed 14 knots.
