Japanese cargo ship Morioka Maru 1920-1942

Call sign JOKD. Laid down  by Uraga Dock Co. Ltd., Uraga, Japan with yard number 149 on 6 April 1920, launched on 21 July 1920, completed on 22 September 1920, chartered by the army end August 1937-end 1938, requisitioned by the army on 3 July 1941 and sunk hitting a mine on 4 March 1942. Gross tonnage 4,469 tons, under deck 3,936 tons, net tonnage 3,096 tons and as dimensions 360.0 x 51.2 x 28.5 x 8 (light)-23 (loaded feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, 358 nhp, coal bunker capacity 1,700 tons, andrange 15,000 nautical miles/10 knots.
