Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland, Amsterdam, Netherlands and torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U52 on the Atlantic Ocean as part of convoy OB 306 underway from Newcastle on Tynia via Durban towards Suez on 10 April 1941. Gross tonnage 6,563.00 tons, net tonnage 4,081.00 tons, deadweight 9,172.00 tons, grain capacity 489,000 cubic feet, bale capacity 440,000 cubic feet and as dimensions 419.9 x 54.8 x 33.5 feet.
