Japanese aircraft attacking British ships in the Bay of Bengal area according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 4 April 1942

An item reported that in the past 24 hours Japanese aircraft attacked 3 British ships in the Bay of Bengal area, 2 in the Hooghgly river (Ganges mouth) and one abour 180 miles south of Calcutta, India.
