American submarines sinking several Japanese merchant and warships according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 11 April 1942

An item reported that American submarines active in the Far East torpedoed and sunk in addition to earlier reported 1 Shigure-class destroyer (1), 1 transport, 1 subchaser, 1-7,000 tons merchant ship and posssible 1-4,000 tons cargo ship.

Note

1. The Shigure was part of the Shiratsuyu-class preceded by Hatsuharu-class succeeded by Asashio-class.
