Italian convoy bound for Africa in October 1941

American naval attaché at Rome, Italy reported in October 1941 that an Italian convoy including the Saturnia (1) transporting troops would leave Naples on 7 October bound for Africa with a possible stop at Sicily.

1. The passenger ship laid down by Cantieri riuniti dell’Adriatico, Monfalcone, Italy with yard number 160 for Consuluch Società Triestina di Navigazione, Trieste, Italy on 25 March 1925, launched on 19/29 December 1925 and arrived at La Spezia, Italy on 7 October 1965 to be broken up?
