Part of Wakatake-class preceded by Minekaze-class succeeded by Kamikaze-class. Slightly modified Momi-class and rated as second class destroyer. Planned 13 but 5 cancelled and 8 completed. Laid down by Fujinagata Shipyards on 16 May 1922, launched on 19 March 1923, completed/commissoned on 20 August 1923 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Cod west of Luzon, Philippines on 10 May 1944 and stricken on 10 July 1944.
