Large Japanese convoy sighted off Chinese coast according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 14 December 1941

An item referred to Naval Intelligence Singapore reporting unconfirmed tidings that a Japanese convoy was seen off the Chinese coast numbering 140 ships including 100 transports, 8 destroyers, 1 converted armed cruiser, several submarines and 1-2 aircraft carriers. Another report spoke of a six divisions military available from Japan.
