US Shipping Board Supple&Ballin design No. 1011 285 feet 4,000 tons deadweight 3 Island 2 decks cargo steamship. USSB No. 2196. Built by Supple&Ballin, Portland, Oregon, USA, delivered in 1919, sold in 1921, renamed Cawood, afterwards Charwood, Kir Chehir, Kir Zade, Hissar and Hisar, wrecked in the Bosphorus in 1937. The Dutch newspaper De grondwet dated 24 December 1937 reported that when she wanted to enter the entrance to the Bosphorus she struck the rocks due to heavy storms sinking within 10 minuten with just 2 survivors of a crew of 25 men. Gross tonnage 2,799 tons
