John Arbuthnot Fisher 1st Baron Fisher (25 January 1841 Ramboda, Ceylon-10 July 1920 London, England) nicknamed Jacky or Jackie. Served in the Royal Navy between 1854-1911 and 1914-1915 endeing in the rank Admiral of the Fleet. First Sea Lord between 1904-1910 and 1914-1915. Responsible for reforming the officer training and driving force behind the introduction of the fast all big-gun battleship the HMS Dreadnought and the battle cruiser (for instance HMS Invincible, Furious and the never realized HMS Incomparable), the rtransfer from coal to oil as fuel for the ships etc.
