Part of Wakatake-class preceded by Minekaze-class succeeded by Kamikaze-class. Slightly modified Momi-class and rated as second class destroyer. Planned 13 but 5 cancelled and 8 completed. Laid down by Fujinagata Shipyards on 16 February 1922, launched on 23 September 1922, completed/commissoned on 16 March 1923 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Puffer off Manila Bay, Philippines on 20 December 1943 and stricken on 5 Feburary 1944.
