British destroyer HMS Hardy arrived at Ponte Delgado, Portugal in December 1941

In his letter No. 1876 dated 29 December 1941 reported the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin that from Ponta Delgado, Azores the arrival was mentioned in the morning of 28 December of the British destroyer HMS Hardy H87 coming from Gibraltar.

Note

1. Flotilla leader of H-class destroyers preceded by E- and F-classes and succeeded by I-class.. Ordered on 12 December 1934, laid down by Cammell Laird and Company, Birkenhead, England on 30 May 1935, launched on 7 April 1936, commissioned on 11 December 1936, beached at Narvik, Norway on 10 April 1940, capsized and lost. So this report is not correct.
