Japanese ships threat for General Sharp’s Command in the Philippines according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 10 January 1942

An item reported that the 20 Japanese ships lying in the Misamis Bay area, Philippines were a new threat for General Sharp’s Command in northern Mindanao, Philippines.(1)
