Large number of Japanese warships in the Marshall Islands according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 10 January 1942

An item referred to the M/A Melbourne, Australia reporting the presence of more as 20 Japanese warships in the Marshall Islands, most of which for more as 3 weeks. According to radio intelligence were Japanese ships leaving the area.
