Dutch whaler De Vrouw Catharina For sale at auction at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1736

 

Shipbrokers Claas Roos, Cornelis van Ommeren and Jan Kramp. Auction at Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement, Haarlemmerdyk, Amsterdam on Monday 15 October 1736 when the Boomklok stopped of the fluyt De Vrouw Catharina, commandeur Teunis Lubberse. Built in 1716. In 1736 rigging partly renewed and new main and fore masts placed. Lying in the Waal off the Oude Stads Herberg. Dimensions 108¼(prow) x 27.2 (first beam before large hatch within the hull) x 11.6 (depth of hold at first beam before large hatch on load line) x 6.2 (height verdeck first beam before large hatch) x 8.8 (height steering wheel area) Amsterdam foot. Not sold, bidding stopped at ƒ 3,600.
