Siamese screw steamship Illustrious Conqueror 1858-

Siamese name Maha p’ich’eiya t’ep. English name Illustrious Conqueror. Dimensions 120 x 18 feet. Built by Chao-Phraya Borom Maha Sri Suriya in 1858. Owner the first king [Rama IV]. Made of wood. Displacement 310 ton. Fitted out with 40hp steam engine. Armament of 7 guns. After 1900 sold, renamed Sunheng and served as a ferry between Bangkok and Chantaburi.
