Ordered on 13 February 1992, awarded (assigned to shipyard) on 22 August 1934, start of building period on 1 September 1934, laid down by New York Naval Yard, Brooklyn, New York, USA on 9 December 1935, launched on 26 August 1937, commissioned on 15 June 1938, decommissioned on 3 February 1947, stricken on 1 March 1959 and sold to be broken up on 12 October 1959.
