Japanese Fuso-class battleships modernized according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1934 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine Revista Marittime dated October 1934 reporting that the Japanese battleship Jamashiro (1) was completely modernized with her main armament already removed. The Fuso (2) was to be modernized in the same manner.

Notes

1. Part of Fuso-clas preceded by Kawachi-class succeeded by Ise-class. Laid down by Yokosuka Naval Arsenal on 20 November 1913, launched on 3 November 1915, commissioned on 31 March 1917 and sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944.

2. Part of Fuso-clas preceded by Kawachi-class succeeded by Ise-class. Laid down by Kure Naval Arsenal on 11 March 1912, launched on 28 March 1914, completed on 8 November 1915 and sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944.
