Portuguese passenger steamship Guiné underway from Portugal to the USA in November 1940

In his letter dated Lisbon dated 16 November 1940 No. 930 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspapers Diario de Noticias and Seculo, Lisbon dated 13 December the Portuguese passenger steamship Guiné with full passenger accommodation departed towards New York, USA. The shipping company Cia. Colonial de Navegação intended to establish a regular service between Lisbon, Portugal and New York, USa once a month.
