Part of Fargo-class preceded by Cleveland-class succeeded by Worcester-class. Laid down by New York Shipbuilding Corporation, Camden, New Jersey, USA on 23 August 1943, launched on 25 February 1945, commissioned on 9 December 1945, decommissioned on 14 February 1950, stricken on 1 March 1970 and sold to be broken up on 18 August 1971. Armament 5x2-6”cal 47 dual purpose guns, 8x4-4cm guns and 2-2cm anti aircraft guns. Displacement 13,150 (standard)-15,400 (trial) tons and as dimensions 652 x 68 (molded) x 22.75 (trial). Armored freeboard 4.25 feet.
