Danish merchant ship Ove Toft torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-56 on 3 December 1939

An item reported that the Danish 2,135 tons merchant ship ss Ove Toft strike a German mine and sunk in the North Sea underway from Immingham to Gothenburg, Sweden. Of her crew 15 men were saved and 6 killed. There was no official confirmation of her loss.(1)
